There's a number of ways it could happen, but regardless you find yourself standing on the outskirts of a city. A beautiful city, as familiar to you as any from your world, with all manner of buildings within sight. A sign on the side of the road greets you, saying WELCOME TO COBA You're already part of the family! It's practically inviting you to step into the city limits. Why don't you? As soon as you do, you'll find a pamphlet in your hand, almost eager to tell you all about what this mysterious Coba has to offer. And eager seems to be the impression you get about almost everything - the sun seems to brighten, the flowers seem to perk up - it's almost as if everything about Coba is welcoming you as an honored guest. And you are. Though hopefully, only temporarily. Coba would love nothing more for you to become an honored member of her precious community. Welcome to Coba, visitor, and we hope you enjoy your stay! Your character has found themselves in Coba, and are welcome to do any of the following: ● As you enter the city, you hear some bustle about a homecoming party! Following the signs will find yourself at a plaza with food, drink and live music, of all sorts and types. Why don't you stay awhile and indulge? ● Or, if you're not the party type, maybe you'd like to check out the city's cultural center! There's art, books, and other things to keep your mind occupied. And, maybe you'll meet other like-minded people there. ● Not in the mood for any of the above? There's always the beach! It's a lovely day, the waves are beautiful and the stores along the boardwalk all have signs up that read "TAKE WHAT YOU NEED". Maybe you need a surf board. ● Or maybe you have something else you want to do? Go for it! You're more than welcome to come up with your own prompts. In addition to the above, we would love to encourage anyone taking part in the testdrive to world build with us! Whether it be a street name or an entire neighborhood, whatever you come up with will become part of the game's canon. All we ask is that you pop over here to link us so we can see what you've done! Shura pauses, looking at the other woman. She's surprised someone so frail-looking would even dare approach to talk to her. Wait, she was most likely not famous here... this is weird as Hell.

"I'm afraid of being swept away by the current and drowning..."

And then she spots the Pixie in a kimono on the woman's shoulder.

"Ah!" she lets out, surprised, pointing at the Pixie.

Shura points and Nagi blinks in surprise. She doesn't need to glance to know what she's pointing at but still, Nagi herself ends up pointing towards the little demon.

"You can see her?"

Pixie's response here is to wave.

"Hiya!"

Shura waves back with a big smile. "Yes! She's so pretty in a kimono! Just a sec..."

Shura raises a hand to the sky, and a bolt of energy hits the air next to her. From the flash, a Pixie in a blue leotard, stockings and gloves appears.

"This one's mine."

Oh! The bolt of energy is familiar at least and though this Pixie looks completely different, Nagi recognizes it well enough. Her smile brightens up at that as she addresses the Pixie directly a moment.

"It's very nice to meet you."

And of course, to Shura herself Nagi bows. "Forgive me, I grievously did not let it enter into the basis of my conjecture on this place that there may be other summoners present."

"Nice to meet you too!" the Pixie replies as Shura blinks. This world is full of surprises.

"A summoner?" Then, Nagi is not a demon herself?

"Mm, a summoner. ... Is the term not familiar?"

The other woman has a demon too though. And a very nice set of tattoos as well but...

"I know what a summoner is, it's just... well. I'm the Demi-Fiend. A demon. And you are not."

A small smile. "It's cool. It probably means we don't have to fight to the death."

She can't help but sweat a bit at that final part. "No, not at all. I see no reason to fight demons typically... unless I must, of course."

Nagi's rather fond of demons honestly, whatever shape they come in. ... Well, except for bugs.

Shura's smile widen. "That's good. This place... it's nice." She dips the tip of her toes in the coming wave. "I'd rather not have to fight here."

[conjecture_this]

"It's really quiet anyhow. Away from the party, that is."

Nagi nods in agreement. She's not quite sure what the Demi-Fiend is and perhaps she ought to ask more into it but... there doesn't seem to be much of a need for it. Not right now at least. The more attention she pays now, the more she can feel that familiar twinge that comes with demons from the other woman. And to be honest? It's very comforting. She grew up with demons after all, less afraid of them than the humans around her.

So Nagi sets to running a hand over one of the big curls against her shoulder, turning her gaze out to the ocean itself. "Do you not know how to swim?"

Shura nodded. She had avoided that party, preferring to stay on the outskirts.

"I have only the faintest clue. I'd probably sink."

[conjecture_this]

"In theory, people tend to float. If they don't fight the water at least."

Not that Nagi is the greatest of swimmers herself.
