What: WISHING WELL(s?)

At some point during the night a wishing well appeared in the corner, maybe it was a garbage can a second ago and you saw it blur, maybe it was a fire hydrant, maybe you just hadn't seen it before, but there it is!

There's a sign next to it reading: "Toss a coin, make a wish!"
(WISHES NOT GUARANTEED TO COME TRUE)

Maybe you don't have a coin, but Coba's got your back; there's a pail full of coins next to the well.

So go on, make a wish. Or spy on other people making wishes (Or steal the coins). Surely nothing can possibly go wrong.

'Too b-'... Tsukishima doesn't want to imagine himself as a girl...

He has no idea who Macca is and he's not eager to learn about it. However, more info on town is welcome. So he will ask about that.

"Gods? I thought the town acted on his own. Or that's what some guy told me."

Don't worry Tsukishima, Shura has for you! You're still not her type though.

"That's also possible. A town with a will of its own..." Interesting! Shura has never encountered such a thing.

"As a bad omen, whether or not this city is just a living being or populated with gods, I should not start off my stay by angering them." She waves to the well. "Either I pleased a god here, or a city. Either works for me."

He can't blame her for not thinking about that possibility. He didn't know WHAT to think when he wound up here.

Tsukishima glares at the well:"...I thought this was a wishing well, not offering well."

Well, the boy was right. "It is. I didn't expect it to work. But saying it made me feel a little better." A small grin stretches her chapped lips. "I didn't get a girlfriend, but I got a bit of company."

Tsukishima gives her a steady look. A company huh? He wonders how much of a company he actually is. He's not the friendliest person around and easiest to talk to..

"Yes, I guess that's not too bad."

Shura nods ever so slightly.

"I'm the Demi-Fiend. ... people used to call me Shura."

[tsooki]

"I'd like to call you Shura too, if it's okay."

He's not beyond calling people fiends but still...

"I'm Tsukishima Kei."

"Do call me Shura. It's... more like a name." And less of a mouthful than her title.

"Would it bother you if I called you Kei?" Shura is Japanese too and she knows better but she's also a demon now and she's just very familiar with people now.

"I do prefer Tsukishima, but Kei's better than trying to make up some ridiculous nickname, so Kei will be fine." He remembers many, many attempts of his friends trying to shorten his surname for nickname, but everything sounded stupid. His best friend settled on Tsukki and it's annoying but Yamaguchi's his best friend so he kind of handles it.

"Kei it is, then." She bowed slightly. "Nice to meet you. Where are you from?"

Tsukishima nods.

"I am from Japan, Miyagi. You?" Although, she mentioned something about fiend and stuff, he's not sure if it's okay to ask that.

"It's... complicated." She opens her hands, showing the pearl of wisdom motif in the palms. "I come from the end of the world. But I was born in Tokyo."

[tsooki]

Tsukishima is a bit baffled.

"You saw... end of the world?" End of the world will actually happen? Tsukishima can feel chills go down his spine.

Shura nods. "All worlds will end one day... Not all at the same time, of course. Most reincarnate."

[tsooki]

"Hmm..." It's not a pleasant thought about it but he'll probably be dead by the time world ends. And he's happy about it, he doesn't want to witness that.

Don't count on it too much, sadly.

"It's not a pleasant thought, I know."

[tsooki]

He sighs, shoving his hands in pockets.

"It is not. But it's fact that everything's got to end so I am not that surprised." He just wants to be dead before end of world happens.

Shura wants to say it's not really the end, only the beginning of a new cycle, but if mocks the idea of throwing coins into a well to please the deity inside, he probably doesn't want to hear the religious/metaphysical babble she could serve him. So let's change the subject.

"... does the city sometimes... change for you too?"

[tsooki]

Tsukishima sighs.

"Yes. I found the bus station in one day on one place and then it shifted and I couldn't find it again."

"Oh. I mean... more drastic changes." She looks around as if worried.

"Like... post-apocalypse changes."

[tsooki]

He frowns and shakes his head:"No, I haven't seen anything like that. I spent whole day exploring the city, stuff changed all the time, but nothing drastic as post-apocalypse."

It makes her frown too, but in worry. Is she the only one seeing the truth, or just hallucinating?

"... it's all I see."

[tsooki]

"...you see only destruction?"

Tsukishima frowns. The town looks normal to him. Normal if you ignore the well.

"I see a city, but if I stop too long in the same place... I see it levelled. Decapitated skyscrapers, public transports stopped in its tracks or derailed, burnt out plant life under a sun twice as big as now..." Even for her, or rather especially for her, it's highly disturbing.

[tsooki]

He doesn't know how to respond to that. It really is disturbing and he's happy he doesn't have to see such things himself.

"...You can't do anything about it?" He wonders if this place is forcing her to see it or if it's some of her natural abilities...
