A Mingle!

Who: YOU!!
When: Early Day 9 and onwards.
Where: A city corner!
What: WISHING WELL(s?)

At some point during the night a wishing well appeared in the corner, maybe it was a garbage can a second ago and you saw it blur, maybe it was a fire hydrant, maybe you just hadn't seen it before, but there it is!

There's a sign next to it reading:
"Toss a coin, make a wish!"
(WISHES NOT GUARANTEED TO COME TRUE)

Maybe you don't have a coin, but Coba's got your back; there's a pail full of coins next to the well.

So go on, make a wish. Or spy on other people making wishes (Or steal the coins). Surely nothing can possibly go wrong.

Noah paused in turn as his gaze shifted to the well again. Memories began to flood in blue-green eyes of someone in particular, and what his original thoughts were when he first came into Coba. Having people be kind to him under false pretenses was not at all new and Shura’s statement was a reminder of that.

"Yeah...that's true. I guess, you just don't know until you catch them in the act. I mean, one would hope it's genuine, but…there’s always that possibility that they’re putting you in a false sense of security and that…you signed up for something you never wanted to in the first place. I hope that makes sense. Sorry.”

He shifts a little, as this conversation seemed to have taken an uncomfortable direction for him. He then looks at her suddenly, smiling, hoping to change the subject.

“Heh, I don’t think I got your name. I’m Noah.” He raises a hand to the woman for her to shake.

No prb

"It makes all too much sense," Shura admitted with a sigh, brushing some of her short hair back. It bounced back in its original position right after.

She is surprised by the sudden smile and change of subject, but at the same time, she is grateful for it. Right. Hand shake. She can do that. Just make sure not to put too much strength in it not to crush his hand...

"I'm the Demi-Fiend. Most people have called me Shura, so, please do."

Wouldn't be the first time he met with people that had ungodly super strength, he best fri-ex best friend being one of them. A blond brow quirks at Shura.

"Shura then. But uh...Demi-Fiend? I never heard of such a thing."

"Given that I only appear to be born after the world ends... it's a good thing." She pauses. "Well not 'I' as in me specifically, but, a Demi-Fiend can be born after the world ends."

The hand slips to his side and he just blinks. Seriously though, what exactly do you say to something like that? As tough as it was to have to fight the battled the nanite war back home, he couldn't imagine having the world just end and then being in Shura's position, dealing with the results of that.

"...Yeah, I guess it would be. Were you...mostly alone during all that time? I mean with the world ending and all?"

She hesitated. "I knew my friends where in the remains of the world somewhere, but... by the time I found them, it was already too late. They had been driven mad already. It's... kinda of a long story. At the same time, though, a lot of demons allied with me as I grew stronger. In a way, I was the only half-demon, but demons didn't actually mind much. They were happy to join forces with someone strong. So I was not truly alone for very long."

Obviously, Noah had no idea what the full story was, and by the sound of what Shura was saying, it was best saved for another day, especially if he was the one asking the questions and making her relive the scenario. Simultaneously, he could relate to the feeling of loneliness. A certain scientist back home crossed his mind as he looked to the well too.

"I'm sorry, none of that could have been easy."
