Maybe you stayed in Coba, maybe you went home and came back, or maybe this is your first time here, but everyone is suddenly greeted to a friendly, female voice over an intercom (or maybe it's a some other device? Depending on where you're from)

"Welcome citizens. We hope you're enjoying your visit! Transport will leave in twenty minutes for the Coba city-wide tour!"

If you follow the voice, you'll find yourself at a bus stop. Or is it a fancy monorail? A carriage? A couple of horses? Coba is flexible and will change herself to suit you, after all. And if you get left behind, don't worry! There's free cabs anywhere in the city, who also will be more than happy to give you their own version of the tour.

The Coba city-wide tour boasts an hour of informative information regarding Coba's most important locations, some extra brochures (with some extra savings in there, of course), and will finally return you to the place you left from.

Of course, maybe the tour isn't for you. After all, the party is still going on, and now Coba's businesses are really beginning to open and advertise what they have to offer. Have you checked out the free hotel room? Or maybe you're grabbing a free meal? Or maybe, just maybe - you're looking into an apartment!

Either way, Coba hopes you've been enjoying yourselves. She has so much to offer you.

[ Looking down as someone shouts at her, she hovers down to his level. Oh. Well look at you, you're kind of cute. Hmm, this place might not be so bad! ]

Magic, of course.

[ As if there wasn't any other logical explanation. ]

[ Unattended, but that did not mean that she was unattentive. Quite the opposite in fact--someone must have taught her well, because she was being very observant of her surroundings, and overly cautious while moving with the rest of the crowd.

Even when Noire approached, she was a bit hesitant. New person. Always be cautious of strangers. Her dad would be proud. ]

What a strange question to ask. Looking over her shoulder, it was obvious from her expression that she wasn't quite sure what to make of it. Still, because it was Kanji asking, she didn't mind answering.

"Almost Christmas. Everybody was going to get together and have a party to celebrate." She still had to finish getting everyone's gifts. "Why?"

[ Nanako paused. Did she... know you? How would this woman be able to figure out something like that, unless she was from Inaba herself. Even then, she wasn't all that recognizable--at least not to her knowledge.

She's watching you, miss. ]

That's right. Are you from Inaba too?

[ Being the child of a police officer came with certain perks. Like learning who to trust and what to do in uncertain situations. Not to mention she doesn't always do well around new people. And this was a new place.

Nanako nodded. ]

I'm looking for my friends too.

[ This lady seemed nice enough. Maybe she could relax just a little. But not too much. Also, there was safety in numbers. ]

Maybe we can look together?

Not all of them. Some are actually bigger, but we've got smaller buildings, too. It depends on where you go! The area where I live is pretty quiet, but if you go into the heart of the city, there's a lot of people and lot more to see.

[He pauses for a moment. There's a theory about this place that he's been slowly building ever since he got here, and this guy would be a perfect way to test it, assuming that Hibiki can get back to Japan without any problems.]

I don't think I'll be able to do it anytime soon, but I could try taking you to Japan one day, assuming you'll be in Coba for a while.

Yukari sighed. "Well, part of the experiment that caused the issue I had to deal with involved gathering a lot of Shadows. But... at the time as far as we knew the Shadows only existed during the Dark Hour, so I always wondered where they had gotten enough of them to even do anything that caused a problem in the first place. The TV world answered that question, or at least that there might be another place like it where they could've gotten them from, I guess."

[He should've really been expecting that answer. To himself, he mutters:]

—I really should've seen that coming.

[Aloud, to her:] But is the broom magic, or are you magic? Or are you both magic?

"Another place like it, probably. If Souji hadn't been the first human Teddie met, I don't think he woulda been so bowled over."

And as much as Ted hangs off of Souji... well.

[ Yukari smiled at the young girl, and nodded. ]

Sure, I'd like that a lot.

[ She stopped herself from saying something else at the last moment, because even with talking to a kid taken into account, it sounded pretty stupid. So instead, she went with the obvious thing to do next. ]

My name's Yukari. What's yours?

"'cause... this kinda place can do weird things with times and places. Where they're similar but not exactly the same. For me'n Naoto, it was April." ...Before the diversion to Atia, but he's not... going to get into that part right now. April's the important bit.

"Not to mention, I know my own work when I see it, but I don't remember makin' anything like your little bag. So I don't think we're from exactly the same place. Still close enough that we know each other, obviously, but a little different."

It was a good sign. Especially appreciated that last part. It's good to know that Klaus is hated pretty much anywhere.

[It's like a global constant! Very comforting.]

I figured that'd be the real draw. [because yes, it's absolutely a constant and Damon is very happy that that's been proven true] The guy can't go anywhere without being a pain in someone's ass.

Interesting's definitely one word for it.

[Chaotic and life-threatening are two others. Occasionally life-ending. All in all, it could stand to be a little less interesting. Which is why his eyebrows are slightly raised, as if to make a point.]

I'm curious, how often does it seem like the world's going to end up there?

[ It's okay, friend, she's fine with answering questions about herself. ]

Both! If my broom wasn't magic, I'd have a hard time making it fly like this. Not like I couldn't, if it wasn't.

[ Well, that wasn't entirely true. She likely couldn't, but he didn't need to know that. ]

[ That gets a bit of a smile from the younger girl. ]

I'm Nanako. It's nice to meet you.

That gave her pause, and Nanako stopped, turning toward Kanji. Explaining the inner workings of the multiverse at large to a seven-year old would be an undertaking to be sure, and this would likely be no different.

Still, hearing him talk about the purse he made, she instinctively looked down at it. But he made it for her right after the incident. This was confusing. "But you did make it," She started, the gears in her head obviously turning. "You said I needed something to hold these." Unzipping the top, she reached inside, pulling out a pair of glasses.

...Well. That. Sure is a thing.

Though really, now that he thinks about it, he's a little surprised Ted never ended up making Nanako a pair of glasses in the first place. Still, if she has them, that probably means her own brush with the TV world ended a little differently than how everyone else knows it.

"...No, I believe you that I did, and like I said, I know my own work. But I don't remember it happenin', and you ending up with a pair of glasses is definitely something that'd stick in my mind. How about... how about you tell me what you remember, and then I'll tell you what I remember?"

Some of it, anyway. No need to tell her that as far as he and the rest of the team know, she was dead for a little bit.

No, it's just me not getting it. Maybe I'll learn it one day or other.

[ Oh that sounds amazing! ]

I'd love to try that out. I'll be looking into this place a bit, and I tend to come and go from time to time to many places. I'll definitely put this place on my list of top places to visit.

[This? This is an expression of complete and absolute misery. Greatly and obviously exaggerated for effect, but still. Misery. Such abject despair as Arche has never seen. Etc.]

Awww, you need magic to fly the broom? I wanted to ride my own magic broom, but I don't have any magic.

[ IT'S SUPER EFFECTIVE. C-come on, that doesn't mean it's the end of the world! Smile or something! This was really uncomfortable. ]

Well, I mean, just because that's how it works where I'm from doesn't mean it's the same here, right? Maybe you can find a broom that can fly on its own?

Not so much the country side as I happen to live in a residential area instead of an apartment in the middle of the city.

[He brightens at the mention of Ryoga travelling]

Great! And, hey, if you leave Coba and come back and I'm here, could we compare notes about how we left and how we got back here? I'm kind of curious about some stuff.

Tucking the glasses back into her bag, frowning a bit. This was going to be complicated, wasn't it? "So I didn't have them where you're from?" She said slowly, sounding a bit uncertain. It felt strange to think about--that somehow the Kanji standing in front of her was different than the one she knew. Admittedly, she had a hard time wrapping her head around it, and there was something in her mind that denied the concept altogether.

But, really, ever since being pulled into the TV, nothing made as much sense as it did, so to that affect, anything was possible. She just had to keep an open mind, right?

"Well;" She recounted it all. About Souji coming to Inaba, and the murders. How she suspected that something else was going on, then, before she knew it, she had gotten involved. The details were still hazy. She remembered seeing her own shadow, and everyone saving her. Finding out Teddie was from that world, and getting a pair of glasses from him.
