Maybe you stayed in Coba, maybe you went home and came back, or maybe this is your first time here, but everyone is suddenly greeted to a friendly, female voice over an intercom (or maybe it's a some other device? Depending on where you're from)

"Welcome citizens. We hope you're enjoying your visit! Transport will leave in twenty minutes for the Coba city-wide tour!"

If you follow the voice, you'll find yourself at a bus stop. Or is it a fancy monorail? A carriage? A couple of horses? Coba is flexible and will change herself to suit you, after all. And if you get left behind, don't worry! There's free cabs anywhere in the city, who also will be more than happy to give you their own version of the tour.

The Coba city-wide tour boasts an hour of informative information regarding Coba's most important locations, some extra brochures (with some extra savings in there, of course), and will finally return you to the place you left from.

Of course, maybe the tour isn't for you. After all, the party is still going on, and now Coba's businesses are really beginning to open and advertise what they have to offer. Have you checked out the free hotel room? Or maybe you're grabbing a free meal? Or maybe, just maybe - you're looking into an apartment!

Either way, Coba hopes you've been enjoying yourselves. She has so much to offer you.

Interesting. How much time does it take to call someone?

Souji's still a fair distance away when he spots Izanami - on an elevated bike path half a block away, with the nearest stairway down even further. taking a deep breath and putting two fingers in his mouth, he whistles - then, if she looks around at the sound, waves a moment, calling attention to himself, before pointing at his bare throat and offering her a smile.

No collars.

After that, he's off to the stairs as fast as he can politely go.

[His heart stops a little. Souji catches sight of Nanako in a moment between glasses checks for both of them, and a wave of disbelieving wonder sweeps through him, ready to knock him off his feet.

The thing is - the thing is, Souji's always wanted a sister or a brother. He knows what it's like to be a lonely, responsible kid, and his mom, emotionally, is built from the same mold as her little brother. It took him a little while to see how remarkable Nanako was and how tough she had it, because the air we breathe is always invisible to us.

But when he'd figured it out... after that, what could be more important than making sure his kid sister had it easier than he had? For years now, he's kept his wondering about her quiet, because Atia was the last place he wanted to think about seeing her, but now they're free, in a safer place, and he worries for a moment that she won't know him - tanned, skinnier, shaggier-haired, four years older.

But that doesn't really change his reaction, does it?]

Nanako!!

[The hug that comes at her is going to sweep her off her feet.]

"I didn't fall asleep in a tanning bed," he says, seriously, because that's the only other plausible option when you look at him, right? But after a moment, conscientiously, he adds "I've been to another world, too."

He eyes the distance she puts between them warily, but doesn't close it, simply staying a sunflower, turned towards her and smiling brightly. He doesn't know yet what's happening. But that's all right. He'll find out, and they'll work through it.

Well... if you get stuck here overnight, I can probably find a room for you. If you want. It's a pretty big house.

"Chie and Chloe, and one that looks like it got splashed with paint thinner?"

"Shining, shimmering, splendid?" he suggests with a smile, transferring his grip to her hand, weaving fingers with hers and giving a little squeeze. So far... so far, this place has really caught his emotions.

"The view's amazing," he says with quiet reverence, relaxing slowly under her ministrations and leaning in to her. "Ah... it looks like we've all jumped tracks and shifted to a new adventure..."

"Well, what can you see? That might not be completely helpful, but we can hopefully find each other that way." Naoto sighs a bit. "I am in what looks like the shopping district back home."

"Rise! Yes, we did. This is a new and different city. I am quite glad that you are here, however. I have heard from most everyone so far."

There's obvious relief in Naoto's voice.

"Blast. Guess I will have to re-paint that one. Alright. I will go look for people. Take care, Souji. I will see you tonight."

[ Nothing in this place quite made sense, and with the rest of her friends around, it was hard not to be intimidated and, more than that, just a bit afraid. While she did her best to hide it, her uncertainty was obvious in her mannerism and in the fact that she did her very best to become one with the crowd.

There was no fog here, so her glasses would be useless, but that didn't mean she wouldn't try. Even if she was more than a bit uncertain about things, that didn't mean that she shouldn't be on the alert. Danger could come at any side. She wasn't confident she could deal with it on her own, but she was on her own here.

She was always left on her own, in some way or another. She had gotten used to it after a while.

Managing to work her way out of the throng, the sheer amount of people getting to be too much for the young girl, Nanako took a deep breath, exhaling just as deeply. Was this what it was like in the city? She wasn't sure how Souji could handle it. She could get a better look from the outside, after all. But should she try to find her friends, or find somewhere safe?

Luckily, it would seem that she didn't have to make that decision for herself. ]

Big br--

[ She knew that voice. She'd know it anywhere, and for a fleeting moment her whole demeanor changed. Her entire face lit up, her chest puffed out; she turned, ready to shout out to her big bro.

Then, all at once, it changed. She saw his face. She still knew that face, she likely always would. He was different. He was taller. Leaner. He even looked a bit tired. It was him, but it wasn't him, and as he lifted her into the air, true panic set in, even as she instinctively wrapped her arms around his neck and buried her face in his shoulder.

Did people change like the city? Did big bro change? What about the others? Why did he look like that?

Did it really matter? ]

..Big bro!

[ She was shaking a bit, then gripped him tighter. She didn't know what was going on, had no idea what he had gone through, but somehow she knew she had to hold on tight and make sure not to let go. ]

Naoto shrugs. "I do not think I care." She takes a sip of coffee thoughtfully. "So, on the way here, I walked through what looked like 1880s London, a space station, and what might have been the Southern part of America. It's... very interesting to say the least."

At the mention of her shadow, Nanako lowered her eyes. It was still a bit tender, truth be told, even if the others had similar experiences. Being confronted with those feelings, especially around others, was a hard pill to swallow.

"I was sick?" Nanako asked, Looking up and blinking a few times. That must have been really hard for her dad, and for everyone else. The other Nanako--she--must have been really sad. "But I got better, right?" It felt so odd to say.

[ Like a good girl, Nanako was looking for souvenirs. This place may have been strange, but it would be odd if she came back without gifts. Maybe not for everyone, because that would be hard to explain. She would have to figure out something for her dad, and for her friends at school.

Hey, she knew that voice! ]

Rise?

[ Turning, Nanako saw the older girl and very visibly brightened, running over to her. Yay! Rise's here! ]

[ A long time? ]

Did you move there?

[ She probably would have said something else if she was born there, like Nanako was, right?

The woman's question took her by surprise. ]

You know big bro?

[ Was she a friend? He did seem to know a lot of people in Inaba ~~what with all those social links~~. ]

[ Looking up at Yukari, Nanako gave her a somewhat more enthusiastic nod. ]

Okay. Let's go.

[ She would be lying if she said she wasn't more than a little curious about this place. ]

She nods, acknowledging his statement on the one hand while continuing to study him, cautious, on the other. "It wasn't Demeleier, though ... right?" He wouldn't keep smiling at her so; she's almost sure of it, but still wants to hear it directly from him.

"Good t'meet you. Again, or something."

Fuckin' timelines, how do they work.

"...Okay, fair. Last couple months've sucked for everybody."

At least the temperature here's off to a good start, and so are the possibilities for things to do. And the lack of collars. That's a plus for sure.

Well, hey, at least she's in good company there. Even if probably only Souji's gonna have any idea of what Nanako's Shadow would have been like - Kanji can guess at some, because he knows what it's like to lose a parent young and not know how to connect to the one you got left.

But his ma was there for him, whether he thought he needed her or not. Dojima-san's more distant by nature, and kind of a workaholic. That part's not really the same, and he knows it.

"You were. It - it got pretty bad, and the hospital had no idea what t'do about it, but you pulled through in the end."

It's really a rather interesting place!

Being trapped in an interdimensional camp with zombies isn't a typical walk of life.

Probably from other people as well.
