Maybe you stayed in Coba, maybe you went home and came back, or maybe this is your first time here, but everyone is suddenly greeted to a friendly, female voice over an intercom (or maybe it's a some other device? Depending on where you're from)

"Welcome citizens. We hope you're enjoying your visit! Transport will leave in twenty minutes for the Coba city-wide tour!"

If you follow the voice, you'll find yourself at a bus stop. Or is it a fancy monorail? A carriage? A couple of horses? Coba is flexible and will change herself to suit you, after all. And if you get left behind, don't worry! There's free cabs anywhere in the city, who also will be more than happy to give you their own version of the tour.

The Coba city-wide tour boasts an hour of informative information regarding Coba's most important locations, some extra brochures (with some extra savings in there, of course), and will finally return you to the place you left from.

Of course, maybe the tour isn't for you. After all, the party is still going on, and now Coba's businesses are really beginning to open and advertise what they have to offer. Have you checked out the free hotel room? Or maybe you're grabbing a free meal? Or maybe, just maybe - you're looking into an apartment!

Either way, Coba hopes you've been enjoying yourselves. She has so much to offer you.

Huh, I didn't take Klaus for the small town type. Or any of them, really. [because where one went, the others were sure to follow]

I'll get to it but distance would be good.

One unpleasant thing is enough.

"So, I've been asking around a fair amount, but what sort of place do you usually see here? I've gathered that everyone sees different things at different times."

. . . If you say so.

What about high and mighty witchy overlord?

[now he's just tossing words together on purpose]

You mean you think you can handle whatever this is.

[ he's a different kind of nerd ]

In their . . . tail?

"Well, can you at least sit with me?" She squeezes his hand. "You're here, and I'm here, and I want to spend time with you. Besides, you have a bottomless pit of a stomach, I'm sure you could at least eat some gyoza or something."

A pause. "Actually, perhaps that isn't the best idea. How are we supposed to pay for things here?"

I meant horns. Tail hurts more, but yes, piercings there too.

"Do not feel bad, very few people have heard of Inaba. It is only known for an Inn, some textiles, and serial murder."

She shrugs. "What is your demon world like?" If it is anything like the TV world, it might not be too awful.

[Damon was, of course, lounging on the bed listening to everything that was going on. (So he liked to eavesdrop, vampire hearing and all). But he looks surprised anyway when Jenna walks in, because that wasn't a face he ever expected to see again]

Whoa, blast from the past. Welcome back to the land of the living, Jenna.

[he actually sounds happy to see her]

"Shopping district from back home. Without the asshole who calls me a punk all the time, which is good, or my ma, which... 's weird not seein' her in the shop, you know?"

It's good to have some familiar scenery. But... profoundly weird not to have his mother around.

"'course I'll sit with you, why would I not?" Seriously, Naoto. Get with the program.

"Hell if I know. There were coupons and shit on the tour, I used one'a those."

Serial murder...? Maybe he shouldn't ask about that.

"It's not a bad place. There are more wild monsters around, so it's less peaceful, and there's a great deal more magic than is used in the human world nowadays. But on the whole it's not that different than the human world was a few hundred years ago."

"I see..." He can't say he completely understands - demons don't usually have family units. But he knows what it's like to have familiar faces in one place, and not seeing them there would be strange. "So, it's something of a mixed blessing."

[ She looks impressed by what she sees as she scrolls through the pictures. There's a smile on her face when she hands the camera back to him. ] You're really good.

[ Davina tips a shoulder up in a lazy shrug. ] I'd buy your photos -- you're not one of those guys that like, hangs upside-down out windows off a third story to get the perfect shot, are you? [ She's seen those people in New Orleans, ok, it's terrifying. ]

"Pretty much. Ma ain't supposed to be gone yet."

It's bad enough that his dad is.

It's an odd-looking place, certainly.

[He's not even bothered by the outfit, or lack thereof—one of his party members wore less. What gets him is the horns. And, you know, the tail. And pointed ears.

On one hand, it's rude to just ask someone if they're a demon, but on the other, he just saw someone with a pixie... Eh, this place is weird; he can be tactful.]

—Yeah, sure! There's a lot of free stuff, for starters. Did you get a pamphlet? There's coupons in there for all kinds of things.

[She won't side eye Damon right this moment, much as she might be more fond of his brother.] Thanks [-- a beat -- ] always good to be here. [in the land of the living that is.] Any day I don't get staked by someone is a good one. [Seriously though. They obviously knew more about Klaus's ... ways... but look, considering what he was doing when she saw him, she can pretty safely guess the guy's pretty solidly in the 'not quite sane' category.]

Get any UFOs on camera yet?

It gets odder by the minute.

"I'm sorry. If I were better at making portals to places I hadn't gone myself, I would offer, but as it is I'm not sure it would be entirely safe."

And he's definitely not offering something that he doesn't know is 100% safe.

[ Gosh so hard to get the respect she deserves these days, gosh. ]

I did pick one up. Much of it is for restaurants, and that's not that interesting to me, but the discount at the massage parlor sounds appealing.
