Freedom Looks A Lot Like A Bigger Prison Cell [OPEN]
WHO: Erik Lehnsherr and YOU.
WHAT: Looking around. Erik is out of prison and in some strange town that isn't Paris.
WHERE: Anywhere you like.
WHEN: Day 2-5
He'd gotten out of the car with everyone else, gone into the bathroom on the plane to change out of his prison clothes and when he returned to the cabin... Charles, Hank... the stranger they were with: none of them was on the plane. The cabin was empty and they were in the air.
They landed in a city. He was handed a pamphlet when he disembarked.
Strange.
He took a room for the night, heading out the next morning to look around. Where did everyone else go, if they weren't on the plane, and how could he get ahold of them? How was he going to get back... and did he want to? Charles had told him he'd broken him out only because he absolutely had to. He needed him for something that he didn't want his help with and Erik didn't know what yet. He did know that his idea of what was important hadn't matched Charles' in a long time.
But for now? He just needed intel. So he walked.

He frowns.
"What are you supposed to be?" he asks flatly.
no subject
"I'm Spider-Man. What's your name, Mr. Metal?"
no subject
no subject
"No, seriously," he says, a little slower, "What's your name?"

Mostly.
And okay, maybe there was a stop at the hospital where she convinced the nice nurse to let her into the lab where they stored the bags of blood for transfusions, which at least took some of the edge off.
So when she nearly collided with someone else on her way out of the building, Caroline blinked for a moment and then offered a slightly weak smile.
"Sorry about that."
no subject
"You're coming out of the hospital in a hurry. Escaping?" he suggested wryly.
no subject
You know, except she kind of had been leaving in a bit of a hurry. They might not notice a missing bag or three, but better to be out of there anyway.
"...Er, hi. I'm Caroline."
no subject
"Erik."
He nodded towards the hospital.
"Do you work there, then?"
Day 3
It left her wandering the street with cheap 'travel guide of apartments' and a faint crinkle of focus in between her eyebrows, splitting her attention to where she was actually going. So maybe she stopped too abruptly in the flow of traffic on the sidewalk but still was better then ramming herself into a pole.

His head whipped up quickly at the impact to see what, exactly, he'd bumped into.
no subject
"Sorry. Streets are a bit crowded, aren't they?" There was no telling what he knew and what he didn't, but regardless, she knew that Erik was to be approached cautiously at first.
no subject
"Mm." He studied her for a moment. "Is it always like this around here?" he asked. Or was she a stranger to the place, too? Maybe she didn't know any better than he did.

Day 2
Also? She was dressed like a normal person again. Well, her version of normal. Always a plus.
She ran along backstreets and alleyways, trying to stay out of sight. The problem was neon pink wasn't the most inconspicuous color in the world; especially not when it lit up all the alleyways. Coming out onto the sidewalk, she'd phased back into her normal form, glancing back at the disappointing trail of pink neon behind her, and then took off down the street.
no subject
Interesting.
But before he could approach her, she took off again.
He lifted himself into the air and followed, only landing when she'd come to a stop again.
"You're a hard person to start a conversation with."
no subject
"You one of the D.U.Ps?" Fetch asked, trying to keep the fear from her voice. Strange city or not, she wasn't taking any chances.

Then she bolted, phasing back into her neon form, and starting running. She went up the side of a building, trying to get some distance from him.

He notices Erik as he's exiting the hotel and decides to follow, because who knew what everyone else was doing and hey, maybe this guy knew something he didn't. He didn't look like a native anyway.
"So, how about this crazy city, huh?" What an icebreaker.
no subject
"What do you know about it?" he asked.
no subject
And that weird versions of people he knew were popping up, but that wasn't worth mentioning just yet. "You got anything?" But he may as well ask anyway.
