WHO: You! And you, and you, and even you!
WHERE: All over Coba!
WHEN: Day 4, noon and onwards

Wherever you are, whatever you are doing, you find the scenery in front of you suddenly shifting, the world turning into a giant blur for all of a few seconds. You might feel a bit of vertigo, but nothing too serious, especially if you've been here for long enough to get used to it.

When it returns to normal, you might find that some places have moved, others have popped up in their place. An entire neighborhood blending into part of a busy city street, for example, or a foreign shopping district where some of Coba's smaller shops once stood.

Main street, where all the excitement happens, has gone over something of a change as well. There are a number of small, vendor stalls scattered down the road, all advertising something different - EDUCATION, HOUSING, EMPLOYMENT . . . and one labeled COBASPIRACIES that the other vendors seem to be shooting dirty looks at.

Er. In any case, come see what the excitement is all about, explore the new and moved locations, or grab some of the free food that has been happily placed out for anyone wandering down main street.

"Advertise? Hire extra employees?" Leo smiles and shakes his head. "But if you mean permits or anything like that, no. We get businesses coming and going all the time with you newer folk."

He nods in the direction of a few businesses that sat near where they had set up for the day. "Licences are a slightly different story, for places that require them, but if you need one, all it takes is a trip to the city hall and they'll help you out."

Kanji snorts. "Unless I need somethin' like that to have fabric around, I don't think that's gonna be a problem."

Now, if Naoki ever shows up, or someone wants to take over the liquor shop, that'll be another story. But Kanji's going to leave that one to people who know what they're doing.

"Fabric, huh?" Leaning on the stall, he raises both eyebrows, interested. "I don't think we've had a business like that before. Mind telling me more about it?"

"Family's been in the textile business for generations. Traditional Japanese dye jobs and the like. These days most'a what we get is when someone wants a kimono or yukata or somethin' and doesn't wanna just buy one off the rack, or scarves and shit. For now it's just me, unless I drag one of my friends in or Ma turns up or something, so I can't do huge stuff, but I can manage some things."

And knitted plushie animals, of course. But he'd do those anywhere.

"That's still pretty impressive. I was thinking something different, but we still haven't had a place like that around here in a long time." Probably before he was born, even, although even then he wasn't sure.

"Where'd your shop show up?"

"Better question's 'where'd the whole damn shopping district show up,' but I think it mighta moved earlier."

That's not going to happen again, is it? Please don't happen again.

"A whole district?" He hums, impressed. "It shouldn't be too far from here, if that helps. Things come and go, but they generally pop in the same area, depending on what they are."

Kanji shrugs. "It means a lot to a bunch'f us. That might have somethin' to do with it."

That and the fact that other than Nanako-chan, none of them have been home in months, minimum. Years, in Souji's case (not that he'd go back to Inaba anyway - he'd end up in Tokyo).

"I'd say so. It's a first for this place, at least. The good kind of first, anyway."

He leans out of the booth and points southwards. "Most of the incoming businesses end up down that way, although with how much this place has been changing lately, I might be wrong. But it's a starting point, especially if it's a whole district showing up and not just one or two shops."

"Good t'know. I'll know it when I see it - think we got the whole damn thing, closed shops an' all. Well, except for the one that got replaced by Naoto's detective place."

Neither of them are quite sure how that happened. Neither of them are complaining.

"That's pretty impressive. It must really be important to you." He sounds impressed, and a little happy for Kanji, as well. Coba was big on making people happy, but it seemed like she'd gone all out for this particular group.

"When you find it, drop by the fire department and let me know where it is? I'd like to see it."

"Most'f us grew up there, and... yeah. It means a lot." They did kind of fight and die to keep their home safe, after all. "On top of that, we pretty much all got here from somewhere else, so we ain't seen it in a while."

...He's at least hoping the only difference with Nanako-chan is how her kidnapping turned out...

Kanji nods. "Will do. Can't've gone too far, it was pretty close to the house."

"Somewhere else?" Now that was interesting. "And it didn't bring anything from there? That's new."

Then again, Coba worked in ways even he didn't understand sometimes, and he grew up here.

"You'll find it. Coba wouldn't hide it from you for long anyway." She was playful sometimes, but mean? He didn't think the city was capable. As . . . capable a city could be of something like that.

"No, that's where the house came from. Dunno if anything followed Chie-senpai from Faerie Hell, and I don't think she's in any hurry t'look around." Not that he can blame her. If it hadn't been Inaba House, he's not sure if any of the rest of them would've bothered looking for Atia holdovers.

"Faerie Hell." He repeats it slowly. "That's a new one." He had to admit, he was curious about all these different places, but then again, he liked the bit of mystery that came with each new group of people.

"Ain't its actual name. Think she said it's called De...melier?" Not a place he's ever heard of, anyway, and 'Faerie Hell' was apt from the rest of what she had to say.

It's like 'Fuck Or Die Island' that way.

"There were faeries and they were apparently real bad news. So, Faerie Hell."

"I figured it was a descriptor. It doesn't sound very pleasant." He had no idea faeries were bad in anyway. Huh.

"Yeah, from what Chie-senpai said she's better off out of it." He hasn't even gotten anything close to the whole story, but he's comfortable saying that anyway - one look at the state of her jacket told him a lot.

"Then I'm glad she was able to find her way here." He'd ran into a few people who'd come here from bad situations - whether it was in their home world, or in some place else. He was glad Coba brought them in, to a place that wouldn't be cruel to them.
