DESCRIPTION: Shopping is hard, especially when you're dead broke.

[One minute he's being locked into a jail cell, then when he turns around he's suddenly in an open city holding a pamphlet that definitely wasn't in his hands a minute ago. It takes some staring at the pamphlet and a little time spent making sure he's not dreaming (pinching, running around to work up a sweat, various failed attempts to scare himself, and so on) before he accepts that this is real...

And that maybe this could be an opportunity?

So it's not too long before he's hanging around the first shop he finds, checking out the hairpins and trying to look A) like he knows what in the world he's doing looking at hairpins and B) innocent, like he's not hoping to take up lock-picking based on vague memories of movies he's seen and the faint hope that any attempts at lock-picking will actually work.

It's not working very well, and when a thought strikes him and he riffles through the bunch of coupons he just groans and considers giving up. What a time to have no money!]

They have all these ways to stay places for free, but everything else...

That's too much, isn't it?

[TO SAY THE LEAST. But oh, that gives him another idea.]

A red flower might work, though! Or, maybe not red...

[Does red go with pink and lighter pink? Plus the blue - and okay, he's not so good at this.]

Awwww, but makes such a statement! [He reluctantly puts it back, then listens to Yuya's suggestion.]

Well, what color's her hair? Red does look good with a lot of colors!

It's pink. Kind of like...

[He searches among the hair decorations on display and eventually picks up a magenta ribbon.]

Like this, but darker!

[Hibiki looks at the ribbon and thinks for a moment, looking around the displays.]

Hmmm, red probably won't work on dark pink. Cute accessories on cute girls should pop out! Sooooo...

[He grabs a yellow feathery...ball...thing. It's very fluffy, and it's not easily obvious how one would put in their hair. In fact, it kind of looks more like a toy. He gives a shake.]

Something like this?

[That's not...Yuya squints for a second, to make sure that he's not imagining things.]

That's too showy! How does that even go into your hair, anyway?

[Which is a little rich coming from a kid with star-emblazoned goggles on his head.]

[...Seriously, he's one to talk. At any rate, Hibiki shakes the feathery fluff ball again, this time at eye level. He gives it a close look, an expression of intense concentration on his face, and then grabs a little tag and says:]

Oh, wait. This is a cat toy. Never mind!

[HE'S SO HELPFUL]

[WHY.]

We're getting off the subject, then! I need a hairpin, not a toy!

I know, my bad! Won't happen again, promise. The idea still stands, though. Something with a color that pops out and contrasts well her hair!

So a regular yellow hair accessory.

[Yuzu with something yellow...looks too much like Serena. Yeah, no - with all this lookalike business, the less confusion the better.]

Would something besides yellow work, too?

Sure. How about light blue? That color's a personal favorite of mine.

[If it's a light enough blue, it won't clash with dark pink hair. ...Hopefully.]

Hm...yeah, I think so!

[He scans the accessories until he picks up something else, a hairpin with a blue rose at one end. It's not exactly high-quality and the fact that there are near-identical pins with other colors speaks to its mass production, but Yuya doesn't think it's too bad.]

Maybe she'd like this.

Ooo, roses. Always a good, reliable choice. See? You did it! You didn't need my help at all. You can sweep her off her feet with no problems now!

[Not that...he helped...]

[He helped a little? But let's back up a minute here.]

I'm not sweeping anybody! I told you, it's just because I--I haven't seen her lately!

[Because "I miss her" is too depressing ~~and incriminating~~, after all.]

Woah, there! I said that you'd sweep her off her feet, but that doesn't have to be romantic in nature. Hmm, you're being pretty defensive about this. Are you sure you don't want to be kissy kissy with her?

[...there may be no winning against Hibiki. He's got years and years of trolling experience.]

[Yeah, he's close to giving up.]

For your sake, don't ever meet Yuzu. She'll get really scary if she hears that kind of thing.

[Hibiki feels awful. Really. Absolutely wrecked over causing him so much mental frustration.]

Beat me up kind of scary, or stand there and curse me into oblivion with the force of her glare scary?

Both! First she'll start glaring at you and growling, and then you have just enough time to realize you're doomed. Then she takes out her paper fan--and she hits really hard with that thing!

[Classic comedy routine it may be, but it sure feels like punishment.]

...Paper fan? Oh, I get it! You two are a comedy duo! Hey, tell me a joke!

[look at what he's brought upon himself]

Huh?

[Well, he kind of hit on the general area so Yuya's not sure whether he's trolling or not.]

We're entertainers, but we don't do comedy like that! And Yuzu hitting people with her fan doesn't have anything to do with our job.

[He was trolling, but he'll put it on pause for now.]

What kind of entertainment do you guys do? Music? Dance? ....Plays?

We're duelists!

[Yuya reaches to take out his duel disk, but since Security confiscated it he comes up empty. After a second of panic he remembers they didn't take his deck, and holds that up instead. The bottom card is visible, depicting a lion with a flaming mane in a bowtie and top hat.]

Yuzu and I are Entertainment Duelists, so we do everything we can in a duel to help bring smiles to our audiences.

[Of course, it hasn't yet occurred to him that everyone he meets might not know what dueling is...]

{Sure enough, Hibiki has no idea what that is. He takes a good, thorough look at the card, and then reels back in fake shock.]

Is that some kind of gambling thing? Aren't you underage?!

[Yeah whatever, just don't make fun of his dueling style or else then we'll have a problem. Still - gambling?]

People gamble with duels where you come from?

I dunno! I don't know what dueling means to you. Personally, I think of two people getting ready to punch each other in the face at an arranged time and place, but I get the feeling that's not what you're talking about.

Unless it is and you use the cards for that somehow.
