Maybe you stayed in Coba, maybe you went home and came back, or maybe this is your first time here, but everyone is suddenly greeted to a friendly, female voice over an intercom (or maybe it's a some other device? Depending on where you're from)

"Welcome citizens. We hope you're enjoying your visit! Transport will leave in twenty minutes for the Coba city-wide tour!"

If you follow the voice, you'll find yourself at a bus stop. Or is it a fancy monorail? A carriage? A couple of horses? Coba is flexible and will change herself to suit you, after all. And if you get left behind, don't worry! There's free cabs anywhere in the city, who also will be more than happy to give you their own version of the tour.

The Coba city-wide tour boasts an hour of informative information regarding Coba's most important locations, some extra brochures (with some extra savings in there, of course), and will finally return you to the place you left from.

Of course, maybe the tour isn't for you. After all, the party is still going on, and now Coba's businesses are really beginning to open and advertise what they have to offer. Have you checked out the free hotel room? Or maybe you're grabbing a free meal? Or maybe, just maybe - you're looking into an apartment!

Either way, Coba hopes you've been enjoying yourselves. She has so much to offer you.

"What reasons?" Chie doesn't even know herself what she's doing here. "What 'others' are you talking about?"

Yeah, for some reason some don't. I don't get why, though.

Chie shivers. She was just there a minute ago, and now she's not. It's an awfully big case of mood whiplash, coupled with the overwhelm she feels from the noise all around her.

"Um ... it was pretty terrible, actually. There were faeries."

Well, yeah? It means you get to learn new things and form your own conclusions.

What about movies?

Carefully, he runs one curled finger over the line of her throat, where a collar isn't.

"... I could get used to it," he admits, meaning plain.

"I've only been up in airplanes and helicopters before... this is better."

We'll just have to find a different way to stay in touch. I suppose... after the tour, if you wanted, you could come over for lunch? Then if this place doesn't get too strange, you'll know where to find me.

"Most of the team is here," he says after a moment, looking for a segue to fill in the silence. "Mm... and a house that belongs to us, if you're looking for a place to stay?"

After a moment, he offers his hand, to hold or shake or clasp or... well, he's not quite sure, but it's a gesture.

"I like the feel of the wind in my hair," he concedes agreeably. Craning his neck to see as much as he can, he still politely avoids invading her personal space too much, conscientious even when distracted. But he does notice... she seems to be paying particular attention to him.

"Seta Souji," he says after a moment, almost an afterthought, offering her his hand.

"The house, and everyone but Chie and Yosuke, so far," he says, sighing softly and leaning against her. "Still... if they're together, wherever they are, I'm sure they'll be fine." He does believe that, firmly and sincerely, but that doesn't mean he won't spare a moment of concern. But after that, he's returning to this moment, focusing on holding her.

"Would you like to go back to the house?" he asks. "I don't really feel like letting go of you, right now."

"I haven't seen Chie or Yosuke yet," he says, quietly. "But everyone else... and those two are a good team, wherever they are. I'm sure it won't be a problem." He fidgets, shaking his head.

"...I wanted to stay until the job there was done," he admits. "Until everyone was free. But I knew coming and going wouldn't be our choice. And we didn't know how to make the difference we needed to yet."

Mm, it's me.

[He can't follow her thoughts that well, but he squeezes back, reassuring, leaning his forehead against hers a moment. He knows he looks older, and he knows that needs explanation - something other than 'I was enslaved on sex island for three years.']

I know I'm a little different looking, but that's just time travel. A lot of my friends are here too, and we all got... sent somewhere that time moves differently.

[That's true, given the way the timelines intersected and overlapped there. He won't lie to Nanako - not ever. But she doesn't need all the details.]

Mm, that's a good idea. Thank you very much, Souji-san.

It's a shame your house didn't come with you too, Nagi.

The way this place seems to work, it's possible that will change...

In theory people enjoy when things are fairly reliable and similar. Adapting to new things becomes difficult then.

I can't say I don't enjoy things being fairly stable but that doesn't stop one from learning.

[She blinks a bit, surprised. Clearly the idea hadn't entered her mind.]

That could be a difficult situation in theory then. Many of Master's things would arrive as well. And Tsukigata...

Tsukigata will be fine. You can visit, you know.

We don't have that sort of freedom, Pixie.

[The demon sighs out wearily, laying out on the girl's head.]

You get asked out to lunch by a cute guy and you're still thinking about all of that.

[Nagi, please.]

"Yeah, they should manage all right." He hopes Yosuke's around for Naoto's sake - it'll be hard enough if Chloe didn't come with them, but losing two people? That'll cut deep.

Kanji sighs. "That was always gonna take a long time. 'specially since it feels like every time someone tries t'make progress they get nowhere, or set back more than where they started."

You'd think Yukari of all people would have learned by now.

"Wait, you know Naoto-kun and I personally?" Rise asked with a blink of surprise. "Sorry, but I don't remember that..."

I don't see the point in listening to them. They don't seem to be saying anything useful.

I'm here because this train reminded me of something that mattered. Back home.

[Good. Easy part's over. ...the next shouldn't have been so hard, but when they'd actually gotten to this point, the proper words to say seemed to have fled. She'll go with being honest, even with the risk present:]

I ask you to forgive me for pointing it out...but you appear to be unguarded.

I've been watching you. With concern, and in the hope that I might be wrong. I have not seen any evidence to say I am.

You know it is dangerous to be wandering here on your own.

You do become accustomed, after a time.

I cannot speak for these, but what I have sampled doesn't seem to have harmed me.

And yet - knowing that this Souji isn't the same one, the one who'd killed Adachi, the one she'd shared terrifying, gruesome nightmares with, it's still not as much of a comfort as she'd like. He holds out his hand to her, and all she can see is the bloodied hand she gripped so tightly when she thought he was dying, after battling Adachi. She hesitates.

But she can't refuse outright. Souji was still one of her best friends, and the bond she has with him may be weakened, but it's not broken. She takes his hand in hers; her grip is limp, unsure.

"I guess I do need a place to stay." She nods.

Why, thank you. You have a nice name, too.

[Sugar stands up as the bus stops.]

Oh, that's right! I've been looking forward to using those free tickets!
