WHO: Patchouli, whoever else feels like showing up
WHERE: Places. You know. Basically wherever. A library is a good bet, though.
WHEN: Late Day 2-Early Day 3 I... think...
WHAT: Somehow it became possible to get this nerd to have a look around a city.

Patchouli emerged from the mansion in the middle of the night to unfamiliar surroundings. Apparently the city was so intent on dragging her in that it would give her nowhere else to go. Fine. She just wouldn't go anywhere, then, right?

Well, about that... For some reason ~~probably a blatant shoehorning in order to get her to go look around~~, the siren allure of other libraries drew Patchouli into the city. She also decided to explore everything available to her. What this means is that other people have many opportunities to interrupt her, and pretty much wherever -- but once she runs across an unfamiliar library, she might settle in for a while to read.

--Quiet places.

"I believe a lake was mentioned in one of the brochures. We could perhaps visit there."

Since it was mentioned in Coba's advertisements, it could still have plenty of visitors - but perhaps it would be more quiet than, say, a well-known restaurant or (goodness forbid) a stadium.

"That sounds acceptable. That doesn't seem like a place many other people would go to, it would be quite quiet. I... hope...

"At least, out of everywhere mentioned on the brochures..."

She did suppose there might be crowds, yes -- if this didn't work out too well, they'd figure something out.

"It's only a short journey to discover the truth. This city does seem to want to accommodate us, for as overwhelming as it's been. I don't think we even need to know where we're going; our feet will show us the way."

Quite a thing to take for granted, but it hasn't been proven wrong yet.

"I guess so. We can try that, at least."

To be fair, though, she wasn't even sure now if she'd been paying much attention to where she was going. Also, the city had basically literally risen up around the manor overnight, so maybe there was something believable to that.

"Hmn. And one other thing you'll need to try...

"...is keeping up."

And with that-- Noire takes off, putting that Otherworld nature to use - basically a series of mad-dashes and superjumps, and boy can that kid jump. She'll leave you behind if you let her.

Give chase?

Patchouli just watched Noire go on her way. Well, for a few seconds. Keep up? Well, it should be possible.

Patchouli takes to the air. Although she's slow on land, she flies at an impressive speed in the air -- faster than humans can run. Can she keep up with Noire?

Um... Maybe?

[It's okay. I think I get it.]

She's already out of sight, even from up here. Certainly she couldn't have covered that much distance so quickly...

Patchouli did not stop, but she did slow down a bit, now kind of... confused.

"Where did you go, Noire?" she asked, as if she would actually get an answer.

"Behind you."

And she only just gets to say it before dropping back down; apparently that was the apex of a superjump. When she hits ground again, she springs back up - but this time it's to land on the roof of a nearby building. It's far away enough that she can just manage to get away with not-shouting, but her voice is still raised.

"Come now, I wasn't going to leave you behind! It wouldn't be any fun without you!"

Patchouli turned around to Noire and flew up to the rooftop. That was... quite a jump. She came back down without damaging the roof? Then again, she literally used magic to fly. What space did she have to argue?

"Of course. That would be pointless. Perhaps it might be best that we stay closer, though? I mean, unless you can only move super-fast or at normal speeds."

[It's because Patchy didn't sorta get into a fight with her. Among other things, really.]

I can, but I'm still a bit surprised. Would've thought Touhou fandom ran the gamut.

Strangely enough, nope. A few possible pairs don't get any art ):

A shame. :( I'd enjoy seeing more rarepairs; the common ones get more than enough attention.
