WHO: Naoto Shirogane, and you!
WHERE: Shirogane Investigations in the Inaba Shopping District
WHEN: Day 2 and beyond
WHAT: Shirogane Investigations is open for business or curious visitors
Next to Tatsumi Textiles in the Inaba shopping district, there used to be a vacant shop, however one day, it was a bit not so empty anymore. On a glass window in the front, there was, in a very simple font: Shirogane Investigations.
Inside, it looks very much like a 1950s noir detective's office. A secretary's desk with requisite computer and telephone is in front of a door that leads to another office, outfitted with its own computer and desk, along with bookshelves and some file cabinets. In the main office In the main office there is a sofa, some magazines (is that one in Elvish?) and a coffee maker on a side table with some mugs and cookies.
In the inner office is a blue-hatted tiny androgynous figure, feet up on the desk and reading a book, looking every inch the detective in residence. Come on in!
[OOC: Shirogane Investigations is open for business! Naoto is open to investigate things for PCs or NPCs, or just to talk to the curious.]

Obviously, the only solution was to investigate. And check out the shops. He didn't have a lot of spending money with him, but he did have a stack of coupons just in case. Plus, it was nice to feel like he was back in Japan as opposed to...wherever Coba actually was. The Inaba District felt like a little slice of home that wasn't anything like his home at all.
When he finally did come across the agency, he couldn't help but to poke his head in. He didn't have need of any of their services, but... Detective agency! How was he supposed to resist? He spots Naoto sitting at the desk, and asks:]
Hi! I don't have anything that needs investigating, but would you mind if I took a look around?

[Naoto sits up in the chair, shooting him a smile.
The office is fairly bare, and actually somewhat boring.]

Only recently, huh? Guess that means you're not from Coba originally?
no subject
Yes, the street out in front of my office seems to be a facsimile of the shopping district in my home town of Inaba.

Well, two, but the second one would mean he has to go home first and shave his legs, and then it's still probably be a difficult fit for someone his height, so this one's better.
When he opens the door, it's in a freshly purchased grey trenchcoat and a black fedora, and he makes sure his silhouette is clearly highlighted on the door before he pushes it open and steps in, glancing over his shoulder like he's got something to hide.
He's still a bad actor.

"Secretary's on vacation, flaky dame that she is. What're you here for?"
To be honest, Naoto's just as bad of an actor.

Upon seeing Naoto there, he asks, "You didn't waste much time in setting up shop here, I see. Isn't paperwork normally required?"

Orias takes another look around. It's not particularly well-furnished, is it...
"You may be interested to know that I was able to return home successfully."

At a time like this, when she didn't know anyone and was in a strange or scary situation, her dad always told her to try to find a police station and look for help. So, being the smart girl that she was, Nanako did just that, carefully wandering the streets on high alert. A bad person could jump out from just anywhere, you know! Fighting shadows was one thing, but bad people were still bad, and scary, and really dangerous!
Turning down yet another street, the young girl could have sworn that she recognized something. Tatsumi's Textiles? Could it really be? Jogging up to take a good look at the sign, she let out a bit of an apprehensive sigh. Should she go in? Big bro or Naoto would tell her that it might be a trap, and as far as she could tell, she could still fight here, but if she got ambushed without the others, it could mean a lot of trouble. Should she risk it?
No, likely not. She kept walking, noting the next building over. Shirogane Investigations.
Shirogane...
Like Naoto?
Somehow that seemed slightly more trustworthy than the textile shop, although she did still hesitate. Taking a deep breath, the young girl pushed open the door, looking around. It couldn't have been the same Shirogane, she realized almost immediately, and crestfallen, she almost left. But this place was likely the closet thing that she would get to a true-and-blue police station.
"H-hello?" She started, her voice unsure as she took a few more steps inside, hands held pensively at her chest. Maybe this wasn't such a good idea after all...

There's a bit of a worried smile on her face, as she kneels down close to her tiny friend.
"How long have you been here? Are you alright? Can I get you something?" So many questions. Pausing, she shakes her head. "No, I apologize. You are safe here with me, I can promise you that. Souji is here too, and we can call him and have him come over if you want."
no subject
"Naoto!" Naoto was here! The young girl practically threw herself at the older, wrapping her arms around her. Someone she knew was here, she was really starting to get worried!
Breaking the embrace, she shook her head, pigtails moving in motion. "I'm okay. I haven't been here too long." She paused, face somehow brightening even more than before. "Big bro's here too?"

Popping her head in, Nora takes a look around before she steps in, shutting the door behind her. She doesn't announce herself just yet - instead she's checking out every inch of the room, taking in the decor with a small grin on her face. It was unique, and it reminded her of those old detective movies she'd seen on TV once or twice.
"Hello?" She finally calls out, voice curious and cheerful. "I think your secretary's taken lunch, so I'm sorry if I'm interrupting anything!"
no subject
"I have yet to find a secretary, actually. It is currently just me here." She bows. "I am Naoto Shirogane."
no subject
She stands up straight again, nothing but smiles. And excitement, as she practically bounces on the balls of her feet. "Do you need a secretary? I can spread the word around."

"Man, this is so cool." He announces to no one in particular, walking over to the desk. "So, where's the super hot girl in a tight red dress?"
It is really not hard to tell that this guy is a city native.
no subject
"Out to lunch. Or, really I haven't found her yet. Hopefully she'll come along one of these days." Unfortunately, she probably can't hire Rise.

He speaks while excitedly walking around the office, checking out the magazines.
"There should be cigarettes too. Cigars? Man I haven't watched one of those movies in ages."

"This is so cool! I didn't realize this place could come up with buildings that aren't there in the original town..."

Naoto comes out of the back office grinning. "I must admit, I am extremely excited."
no subject
That second statement is still excited, but when she says it out loud, she can't help but still sound a little suspicious...

What did he need a break from? The sads of being separated from Inaba House and especially Naoto. It's not as if he didn't have everyone at home, but he had different relationships with those iterations. He misses the closeness of Atia, forced or not. And of course he'd miss his girlfriend most of all...
So he's just innocently walking down the street when he spots Shirogane Investigations and his eyes open wide. This is not a place he'd have thought to find! He doesn't expect to find his Naoto there, but he does expect to find a Naoto, so he goes in.

"Good afternoon, Yosuke-senpai. I did not realize you had found your way to this city."
no subject
"Just arrived a few minutes ago," he says and stuffs his hands in his pockets. "I'm guessing you've been here awhile?"
