WHEN: Day 3, morning

[It's a beautiful morning in this part of Coba! The sun is shining, the birds are singing - or at least they were until a few seconds ago. Suddenly, the city is plunged into darkness again, and the streets start to fill with people dressed in outrageous costumes. There's music in the air and all traffic is stopped for the parade of revellers heading down the street. Anyone from New Orleans might find the spectacle rather familiar, but for anyone else it's still an excuse to party like the night never ended]

Been to Mardi Gras myself a few times. [he gestures to the floats and all that] This is the kind of party you don't forget.

It does seem rather...unforgettable.

[ though it's a mystery as to whether loki considers that good or bad. ]

It's only forgettable if you want it to be. Or if you drink enough.

Not that you would want to, it's a great party.

A "great party" tends to be a matter of opinion, I find.

Says the guy who's obviously never been to Mardi Gras.

Parties are not an anomaly, where I'm from. I need not have attended Mardi Gras to have experienced such festivities.

But do the girls take off their shirts for cheap bead necklaces during your "festivities"?

[and after a moment of consideration, offers a hand] I'm Damon.

[ gives that hand a long look before taking it ]

[both eyebrows shoot up]

[ He doesn't even bother trying to hide his grimace. ]

I could never be Thor. Trust me.

[ He's tried. ]

[either it went over his head or he's just very good at keeping a straight face]

[wordlessly lifts his hand and wiggles his fingers in a wave.

If I had to pick a side, I'm going to have to side with Loki. He just seems like he has more fun.
