WHO: Everyone!
WHAT: Mingle!
WHERE: Somewhere in the city
WHEN: Day 3, morning

[It's a beautiful morning in this part of Coba! The sun is shining, the birds are singing - or at least they were until a few seconds ago. Suddenly, the city is plunged into darkness again, and the streets start to fill with people dressed in outrageous costumes. There's music in the air and all traffic is stopped for the parade of revellers heading down the street. Anyone from New Orleans might find the spectacle rather familiar, but for anyone else it's still an excuse to party like the night never ended]

[Holy crap. Holy crap! Why didn't anyone ever mention this about America when they went abroad? Then again, he hadn't heard of Mardi Gras before this, so maybe all the people he knew who went abroad went to the wrong place.

He takes the plate and gives the person a nod of thanks.]

This is amazing service! Well, time to eat!

[He picks up the fork left conveniently with the omelette and takes his first bite. Ah, delicious, fluffy egg, perfectly cooked. A moment is spent chewing and enjoying the dish, but then he lifts the plat a little and gestures with it towards Josh]

It's good! Want a bite?

[who knew someone could be that happy about an omelette. Okay, well, one that was practically presented from some person on a Mardi Gras float, but.

Josh grins and shakes his head at the offer, holding up a hand]

I'll take your word for it. That's all yours.

[It's not the omelette itself that makes him so happy—even though it is a good omelette—but what the omelette represents. Freedom! Generosity! Having your wishes come true in small but miraculous ways! Eating a balanced breakfast and getting a good start to the day!

He lowers the plate and takes grabs another piece of the omelette with his fork, but doesn't put it in his mouth.]

If you're sure. Last call for omelette, although I can see why most people wouldn't want to eat food offered to them by some random person first thing in the morning.

[there's no easy way to say "it wouldn't do anything for the hunger because I need blood", and he's really glad that they all decided to keep that whole thing a secret for now. Not that he'd be open about it anyway, but if only an omelette would do the trick. He missed normal, human hunger]

I'm sure. And hey, I saw where it came from, it isn't like it's a complete mystery.

[He chews the forkful of omelette that he picked up as Josh talks, and replies once he swallows.]

That's a good point, but I realized shortly after I opened my mouth that it's off putting for a guy to be offering people some of his protein for breakfast. [In an overwhelmingly chipper tone:] Sorry if I was being rude!
