Maybe you stayed in Coba, maybe you went home and came back, or maybe this is your first time here, but everyone is suddenly greeted to a friendly, female voice over an intercom (or maybe it's a some other device? Depending on where you're from)

"Welcome citizens. We hope you're enjoying your visit! Transport will leave in twenty minutes for the Coba city-wide tour!"

If you follow the voice, you'll find yourself at a bus stop. Or is it a fancy monorail? A carriage? A couple of horses? Coba is flexible and will change herself to suit you, after all. And if you get left behind, don't worry! There's free cabs anywhere in the city, who also will be more than happy to give you their own version of the tour.

The Coba city-wide tour boasts an hour of informative information regarding Coba's most important locations, some extra brochures (with some extra savings in there, of course), and will finally return you to the place you left from.

Of course, maybe the tour isn't for you. After all, the party is still going on, and now Coba's businesses are really beginning to open and advertise what they have to offer. Have you checked out the free hotel room? Or maybe you're grabbing a free meal? Or maybe, just maybe - you're looking into an apartment!

Either way, Coba hopes you've been enjoying yourselves. She has so much to offer you.

[so, hey, vampires (and I guess werewolves, witches, and humans too) from Mystic Falls and New Orleans. You might find a couple of signs posted to telephone polls and the like today as you're wandering through Coba:

BOOK CLUB MEETING. MYSTIC FALLS AND NEW ORLEANS CHAPTERS ONLY. BOOK SUBJECT OF THE MONTH: SUPERNATURAL TITLES.

No Klaus Mikaelsons allowed.

There's some helpful directions scribbled on the bottom of the sign, leading you to one of the hotels and up to a room Damon and Elena have procured]

[Noting the directions, Jenna follows them - because, hey, Mystic Falls. She knows that place. - and knocks on the door of the hotel room, waiting to be allowed entrance. She wonders how awkward this is gonna get, since she knows a few people from there might ... remember her as being dead, after all. Screw you, Klaus.]

[heightens]

[ when elena opens the door, she's expecting... well, pretty much anyone but jenna, but mostly she's expecting caroline. damon had told her that caroline was around, after all, and as far as elena knew, she was the only other person from mystic falls who had made it through to coba. to say that she's shocked to see jenna would be a massive understatement.

it takes a few moments for elena to even form words, stuck standing in the doorway with her mouth gaping and tears forming in her eyes. eventually, instead of speaking, elena just launches herself forward and throws her arms around her aunt. ]

[MEANWHILE . . . Josh and Aiden are sort of. Discussing what to do, in front of the hotel]

Okay on the one hand, this isn't exactly subtle. On the other, the subtitle is selling me. Like a lot.

[ SHE KNOWS THAT VOICE. SHE KNOWS THAT OTHER VOICE. SHE KNOWS THOSE FACES. Play it cool, Davina, Aiden's there and you don't need to look like a huge dork tackle hugging your best friend. ]

Well, if it's a trap they won't be expecting the Regent of New Orleans to be there to stop them - will they?

[ Davina has never dealt with hunters, but she figures they aim for vampires anyway. She crosses her arms and raises arched eyebrows after making herself known. She's glad to see them - she was dragging her feet just as much as they were apparently. ]

Whoever's organizing this thing clearly has good taste.

[Tilting his head to one side, considering it.]

It would be good to know who's here, at least. Figure out if there's going to be any trouble so we can stay the hell out of it.

[walking past them, heading into the hotel. But stops when he hears them]

You do know any vampires inside can hear you, right?

[This certainly didn't feel suspicious. A book club? Tyler would've gone for something nerdier - one of those tabletop groups? Still, despite his lingering doubts, he's inside the hotel lobby, debating with himself if he should go upstairs.

He's already run into Caroline, so he figures, the whole gang must've come along. Good thing he brought along another bottle of whiskey lemonade. He suspects he's gonna need it.]

[He would have bypassed the leaflet entirely if it hadn't been for the subtitle which had him eyeing it for a long moment before he decided to follow the direction to the hotel.

Anyone who wasn't a fan of Klaus is someone he should at least be aware of. He heads for the elevator once inside the hotel, although he literally gets pushed into Tyler when someone shoves past on the way out.]

... You okay?

[well, whenever her does manage to wander up to the door, Damon's the one who answers. And he just looks him up and down before stepping aside]

Welcome to book club, did you do the required reading?

[normally Marcel wouldn't want to show all of his cards so far, but seeing as how ending up in mysterious cities tended to be bad news, he figured he might as well check it out]

Can we skip over Dracula? There are way better titles.

[insistent]

[Answering the door and being greeted with that had her almost smiling.

Almost] I'm sorry, who are you?

[imposteur]

[Rebekah shows up, not that she's certain she'll let people know who she is -- but it's good to know who from Mystic Falls is here, if nothing else.

Someone who doesn't like her brother at least, but that could be anyone.]

[it COULD be anyone, but the person who answers the door is none other than your favorite Mystic Falls vampire. There's no recognition, but both eyebrows go up and he can't help but look her up and down]

New Orleans?

[Marcel is already inside when Rebekah comes in, and he turns towards the door immediately, but doesn't approach. He knows the Mikaelson have history in Mystic Falls and the last thing he wants is to get her in trouble.]

[insistent]

[She'd been half listening from the kitchen and came out with a drink in hand. ] .

So you know Klaus?

[Hayley also doesn't blow Rebekah's cover by saying her name out loud, but she approaches her.]

Hey. [She says with a quick smile and a very subtle hint of happiness in her tone -- she's glad to see Rebekah here in this city.]

everyone step aside the grand witchy poobah is here she responds to my queen or your majesty

[ So the five foot three witch may or may not have a pair of boys towering over her, one a vampire and one a werewolf, but the ironic thing is she's the bodyguard in this situation.

So a knock at the door and she'll be giving whoever answers an incredulous look. ]

Not what I expected.

[you're welcome, it's this asshole answering the door. He gives her bodyguards long looks first - considering, calculating, before he looks down at Davina and raises both eyebrows]

You can say that again.

[Rebekah waits a while before approaching Davina, knowing she needs to try to play nice with the one person who could and possibly would spoil her plans right now.

She likes Davina anyway, even if the girl doesn't like her much right now.]

[ Marcel is drinking further into the room. He'd seen Josh and Aiden earlier, so it makes sense for her to show up too, he gets up to greet her, but waits until she's done being intimidating. ]

[The werewolf half of Davina's notbodyguards is just sort of hanging out on the edge of the room once he's inside, quietly (aaaand okay maybe slightly suspiciously) watching everyone else. And especially watching Josh and anyone Josh interacts with. Closely.

...There are way too many vampires in this room.]

[and this one is noticing you, and engaging, because he wants to know who everyone is and decide whether or not he likes them. Sometimes he's simple, but Elena's with Jenna and she can't distract him]

You can't just stand there and not introduce yourself, you know.

[Tyler so agrees with that sentiment - even back home, the ratio of vampires to everyone else was slightly more balanced.

While the drama basically unfolds around him, he's decided to move back towards the edge of the room - and by extension, towards Josh.] I'm starting to think everyone here's a big Dracula fan.

[He exaggerates - he knows otherwise, since he did run into Hayley and Jackson - but it sure doesn't feel like one right now.]
