Maybe you stayed in Coba, maybe you went home and came back, or maybe this is your first time here, but everyone is suddenly greeted to a friendly, female voice over an intercom (or maybe it's a some other device? Depending on where you're from)

"Welcome citizens. We hope you're enjoying your visit! Transport will leave in twenty minutes for the Coba city-wide tour!"

If you follow the voice, you'll find yourself at a bus stop. Or is it a fancy monorail? A carriage? A couple of horses? Coba is flexible and will change herself to suit you, after all. And if you get left behind, don't worry! There's free cabs anywhere in the city, who also will be more than happy to give you their own version of the tour.

The Coba city-wide tour boasts an hour of informative information regarding Coba's most important locations, some extra brochures (with some extra savings in there, of course), and will finally return you to the place you left from.

Of course, maybe the tour isn't for you. After all, the party is still going on, and now Coba's businesses are really beginning to open and advertise what they have to offer. Have you checked out the free hotel room? Or maybe you're grabbing a free meal? Or maybe, just maybe - you're looking into an apartment!

Either way, Coba hopes you've been enjoying yourselves. She has so much to offer you.

You're back!

[His smile is wide and bright as he looks up, and he slides over to make more space immediately, making a point of making eye contact with Pixie and waving, a small, cheery gesture.]

It would seem so. I had gone outside to train but...

[Well, here she was. She settles into the seat with a cheerful smile herself. She wasn't complaining in the least either. It wasn't often she got to take trips after all. Tsukigata could get by without her for a day.

The Pixie meanwhile settles on the top edge of the seat between the pair, kicking her little feet as she does so.]

Eeeeh, you're in a good mood!

It's a pretty good day, so far.

[The remark's addressed to Pixie, but he turns to Nagi after that.]

It looks like I'm a resident, for now. You're still just visiting?

It would seem so. In theory I cannot take up residence in any place but one town at present.

[Well, in a way anyhow.]

Well... if you get stuck here overnight, I can probably find a room for you. If you want. It's a pretty big house.

Eh?

[She seems a bit surprised by that. True he had said they were friends in some alternate timeline or other but that was still an awkward concept. Friends always were in some way.]

Ah, that's...

[How does she form this into words, hesitating a few moments outwardly. In the end she decides she's likely putting far too much deep thought into it. He had been nothing but friendly after all.]

If I have need of it then, I thank you for the assistance.

[She sighs a little then.]

I would prefer my duties not be delayed a night but it does seem they will be for the day at least.

It's not like anything happens much in Tsukigata anyhow.

... You probably don't have a cell phone I can put my number in, do you?

[he glances down at his phone after a moment, fishing it out of one pocket.]

Actually, I'm not even sure I still have service here...

Cellphones don't exist within my own dimension. ... Or time period, I believe. I did meet someone from the Capital City who had a cellphone but he said he was from a differing time period.

[Still she leans over a bit, not really peering at his screen but more peering at the phone itself.]

They are fascinating though.

[No really, she's quite enamored with the idea and with the technology around. When the city isn't conforming to her own time period that is.]

We'll just have to find a different way to stay in touch. I suppose... after the tour, if you wanted, you could come over for lunch? Then if this place doesn't get too strange, you'll know where to find me.

It's a shame your house didn't come with you too, Nagi.

The way this place seems to work, it's possible that will change...

[She blinks a bit, surprised. Clearly the idea hadn't entered her mind.]

That could be a difficult situation in theory then. Many of Master's things would arrive as well. And Tsukigata...

We don't have that sort of freedom, Pixie.

[The demon sighs out wearily, laying out on the girl's head.]

You get asked out to lunch by a cute guy and you're still thinking about all of that.

[Nagi, please.]

[He flushes a little at Pixie's compliment, glancing down a moment. It's true... he'd be pleased if Nagi started thinking of him that way. But phrased like that, it makes him think of memories more than future possibilities.]

I like that you're responsible. If there isn't time right now...

[The Summoner shakes her head gently.]

I have no urgent business at this time. It's simply...

[How does she put this.]

Settling somewhere that isn't Tsukigata would be difficult for me, at least long term.

[After all she ought to be the Kuzunoha Summoner for that area in the future. Her home trailing after her could prove trying if she needed to return. By now she's started running a hand over one of her curls, her expression thoughtful.]

Temporarily however, this shouldn't be an issue. One may still travel as they wish from here to home, yes? I'm eager to learn what I may about this city.

I haven't tried yet. But I think that's how it works. Anyway, the house is this way, and I can show you everything I've noticed between here and there while we walk. You might notice something I didn't, though - I'd like to hear your conjectures.

[That's a sentence he hasn't had a chance to say in a long time, and it makes him smile to say it now.]

[That seems to please the Summoner.]

I'm always happen to expand the boundaries of my conjectures.

[She reaches atop her head and gently nudges the Pixie there who's been giving the conversation her rapt attention.]

[he shoots the both of them a fond, amused look, turns to lead the way... and pauses, tentatively offering his hand or his arm to hold. Just a friendly gesture, right?]

[She's glad to follow along, though the offer of a hand earns a briefly confused look. It's been some time since anyone has done as much, though the gesture reminds her most of her Master at present.

So she takes it as a friendly gesture, much to her Pixie's entertainment.]

[He sighs once, happily, and leads the way the relatively short, straightforward distance to the house - it seems almost like the city wants to facilitate the trip, but he doesn't want to take that for granted, and he's in no hurry Seeing Pixie's reaction, and knowing nagi won't have any conjectures about his intentions so soon, he shoots the demon a curious look - is she going to say anything?]

[At this point she doesn't seem to wish to. Perhaps she's better at reading moods than one may think? She does seem to shoot him what can only be called a mischievously cat-like grin.

Whatever this friendship of his was, she'll figure it out for Nagi's sake if nothing else. Geirin wouldn't want any playboys messing with his beloved protégé after all.]

[Before long, they reach the house, even at a casual pace, and he leans forward to smilingly unlock the door, fishing his keys out with his free hand.

Inside the foyer, they're greeted by two curious cats as he slips off his shoes, and only reluctantly relinquishes her hand.]

... I guess I should make sure you like the same foods as the Nagi I knew. Just in case I guess wrong.

[Oh! Nagi follows suit but she has to pause to greet the cats, leaning down with one hand against a knee and the other extended toward one of the cats. She congratulates it on "performing a good process" when it noses at her hand.

At the talk of foods Nagi looks up curiously.]

In theory I am not very picky. I haven't experienced a great deal of Western foods however.

[And for her Western encompasses... well, pretty much anything not Japanese.]

Well... how about sushi? The fish and seaweed are Western, but it's all made the same...

Mm, that's fine. We do import some things back home, I believe.

[Though fish and seaweed... hm.]

[It won't tajke him very long to cut everything into the portions he needs; and there's a portion of sticky rice with vinegar already cooling in a bowl in the fridge, so in under ten minutes, he's bringing a tray to the dining room table and presenting it with a smile on his face. ]

... Does your Pixie need to eat as well? I don't know demons well enough to be sure of her needs.
