Maybe you stayed in Coba, maybe you went home and came back, or maybe this is your first time here, but everyone is suddenly greeted to a friendly, female voice over an intercom (or maybe it's a some other device? Depending on where you're from)

"Welcome citizens. We hope you're enjoying your visit! Transport will leave in twenty minutes for the Coba city-wide tour!"

If you follow the voice, you'll find yourself at a bus stop. Or is it a fancy monorail? A carriage? A couple of horses? Coba is flexible and will change herself to suit you, after all. And if you get left behind, don't worry! There's free cabs anywhere in the city, who also will be more than happy to give you their own version of the tour.

The Coba city-wide tour boasts an hour of informative information regarding Coba's most important locations, some extra brochures (with some extra savings in there, of course), and will finally return you to the place you left from.

Of course, maybe the tour isn't for you. After all, the party is still going on, and now Coba's businesses are really beginning to open and advertise what they have to offer. Have you checked out the free hotel room? Or maybe you're grabbing a free meal? Or maybe, just maybe - you're looking into an apartment!

Either way, Coba hopes you've been enjoying yourselves. She has so much to offer you.

Souji boards a stagecoach, looking curious, occasionally pausing to put on his glasses, glance around, and take them off again - a tall, well-muscled, darkly tanned Japanese boy of twenty-one years old in a black polo shirt with a popped collar and blue jeans that have been ironed and pressed and show his legs off to their best advantage.

After a few blocks, however, the stagecoach rumbles briefly over the cobbles, then becomes a broad purple flying carpet with impressive braided tassels and takes off, tacking smoothly into the breeze and rising to give an aerial view of the city. Souji manages to keep his outward cool and his position, but he leans over to wrap a hand around the wrist of the person next to him, expression one of wide-eyed and earnest concern.

"...Hope you don't get airsick."

"You look like you're about to get sick though."

Yukiko didn't mind the contact and she knew this one was the Souji from the island. Who else would try and look good? With that said, she grips her other hand on his shoulder trying to be comforting.

"Ah - maybe? This isn't quite the same as a plane..."

It's easier to admit to Yukiko than it would be to almost anyone else. The hand on her wrist becomes a palm pressed over her knuckles, fingers firmly interlocked.

He's more than nervous isn't he? Yukiko could sense it and had an idea to try to keep him calm, hopefully it would work. With one hand locked with his, her other which was still on his shoulder, pushed him over gently so his head would try and rest on her. As an added bonus, she started letting her fingers go through his hair again, a habit to try and either keep him calm or just a gentle reminder.

"It's alright. We're good up here."

"The view's amazing," he says with quiet reverence, relaxing slowly under her ministrations and leaning in to her. "Ah... it looks like we've all jumped tracks and shifted to a new adventure..."

She nods as she couldn't help but kiss the top of his head. Seems like she's taken his role as comfort this time around but it's neither here nor there.

"Maybe someone heard us back there."

[fridgeninja]

"I just hope they heard everyone else, too..."

[very_elaborate]

"Wouldn't know, actually. Ain't like I've had the chance to fly somewhere before." What? He's never left Japan, extradimensional kidnapping situations aside, and it's easier to take the train places.

Kanji's definitely glad to see Souji, though - and unlike when he found Naoto, he knows it's Souji at a glance. That's one more of their group here, and the one he was the most worried about leaving behind.

"Even if you had, it probably wouldn't have been much like this," he admits, and cranes his neck, looking past the other boy at the cityscape. They pass over minarets, skyscrapers, treehouses and castle battlements, and he lets out a laugh of astonishment, swallowing back his nerves and relaxing into the wonder of it.

"...Make that, definitely not like this."

"...Yeah, totally not. This is pretty cool, though."

Hell of a way to see the sights.

"I could get used to it," he admits, and after a moment, tugs Kanji just an inch closer, so their arms brush.

Like he minds being a little closer to Souji.

"Did we all make it outta there? I mean, I haven't seen Chloe-san, but..." But the rest of them, the group from Inaba.

"Not usually. Thank you for the concern."

Orias doesn't often take flying carpets places - they exist in the demon world, he just rarely sees reasons to use them. So the shift isn't as strange as it could be.

It's still a bus turning into a flying carpet, though, so it's still weird.

"What about you?"

"Well... not on planes," he temporizes, and opens his fingers, letting go again. They're both stable, everything's fine for the moment. "I think... the view's nicer, this way. And it's not as noisy as a helicopter, right?"

"I've never taken a helicopter to compare. Or a plane, for that matter," he replies. Portals are faster and more common to demons.

"But I'm glad to hear you won't be getting sick on me."

Yukari frowned at the unfamiliar contact, turning her head to look at the guy who was next to her. Something about him seemed familiar, but she couldn't exactly place it. She almost thought that the she had seen him somewhere before, but the only person she could think of with that kind of hair was Seta-san, but he was a bit too old to be him.

Then again, Naoto-kun didn't recognize her, so maybe it was like that. Only with her in Naoto's spot.

"I... don't usually get airsick. But then again, I usually don't travel on flying carpets." She answered him, smiling at him a little bit uneasily as she tried to figure out just how she was going to brace herself as they went. "Though you seem to be a bit calm about this? Is this normal for you?"

She can ask that other question about who he is later, once she has a better idea.

... If only she had really spent a lot of time with Seta back during that last incident, maybe she'd have an easy time of telling if it was him or not.

[ OOC: Going to just assume that for the purposes of the game that Arena/Ultimax went with Souji Seta instead of Yu Narukami so we can avoid that little bit of confusion with things. ]

"No, this is my first flying carpet," he confesses, and it is Seta Souji's unruffled baritone. her body language says she's a bit worried, so for now, he keeps his hand on her wrist. She'll say if that's a problem, he hopes.

He makes eye contact with her, totally without recognition, and then his eyes widen and face softens into a smile as they pass the altitude of the tallest buildings in the area, and suddenly the view of the city expands, a patchwork quilt of wonders spread out beneath them.

"I think... it's got advantages, though?"

Well, darn. That definitely was Seta, and he totally didn't know who she was. Sure, okay, she didn't really know any of his group all that well, but still, she was hoping that at least one of them would know who she was.

Either way, she's going to relax a bit now that she knows for sure, can't help but let out a nervous giggle at that statement from him. "Yeah. It definitely beats a helicopter, anyway." Or at least it beats a helicopter being piloted towards a fight with tons of Shadow duplicates of each other and the end of the world.

Still, seeing the city from up here just showed just how weird it was. Nothing really seemed like it was meant to go together at all. Which was apparently the point of the place, but it was still odd.

"I like the feel of the wind in my hair," he concedes agreeably. Craning his neck to see as much as he can, he still politely avoids invading her personal space too much, conscientious even when distracted. But he does notice... she seems to be paying particular attention to him.

"Seta Souji," he says after a moment, almost an afterthought, offering her his hand.

Well, that just confirmed one thing for her, at least. She takes his hand, and forces a smile to her lips. "Yukari Takeba," she said. "It's nice to meet you. And... just a little bit weird."

Wait, that wasn't really a good thing to say, which meant that she probably needed to mention to whole time/whatever stuff that's going on right now. "... Sorry. I kinda met you once back home, and it wasn't really under the type of circumstances that you'd actually forget people under."

I have no idea how timelines work here but screw it

"You know, this is the second time I've wanted to start off in a new town referencing an American musical," Rise observes. Yeah, this is Atia's Souji. Taller and leaner and with more weird light patches on his neck than her Souji, but still someone she could snuggle up to without being ashamed.

"I think this is beautiful."

[fridgeninja]

"Shining, shimmering, splendid?" he suggests with a smile, transferring his grip to her hand, weaving fingers with hers and giving a little squeeze. So far... so far, this place has really caught his emotions.

"Yeah. Last time, I managed to compare Naoto to Alice and Belle at the same time."

She snuggles up closer.

"This place is pretty weird, huh?" she asks, still enjoying the view anyway.

Carefully, he runs one curled finger over the line of her throat, where a collar isn't.

"... I could get used to it," he admits, meaning plain.

Rise shudders at the touch, and puts her head on his shoulder.

"I was expecting to just go home, you know," she admits. "That I'd have to just treat what we had like a dream."

She blushes. "A really, y'know, inspiring dream, but still..."
